Scoot Boot Pastern Straps

Purpose:
The Pastern Strap helps prevent the hoof boot from being pulled off if a horse overreaches or when the boot is sucked off in mud. It is not designed to be the main method of securing the boot, but rather an additional safety feature.

Material:

• Made from very strong thermoplastic urethane (TPU)

• Designed to stretch under load, which helps protect the horse’s pastern from pressure or injury when fitted correctly.

Adjustability:

• The strap has multiple holes so it can be adjusted depending on the thickness of the horse’s pastern.

• 4 × Pastern Straps (all the same colour)

Correct Fitting Instructions

1. Ensure the horse is standing square with legs at a 90-degree angle.

2. Attach and adjust the strap through the holes.

3. Once fitted, you should be able to fit:

   • 1 large finger, or

   • 2 small fingers
     under the front of the pastern strap.

⚠️ Important:
Correct fit is essential. If the strap is too tight or too loose, it will not function properly and may affect the horse’s comfort.
