FM (Fulmer) Snaffle Bit
The FM (Fulmer) Snaffle Bit, designed by Franz Maringer, features loose rings that operate independently of the full cheeks — combining the mobility of a loose ring with the lateral support of a full cheek. A favourite among riders who follow the teachings of Philippe Karl, this bit is ideal for mouthing and starting young horses.
It offers gentle guidance and encourages correct acceptance of the bit, making it particularly effective when used with FM Keepers (sold separately). While not required under competition rules, FM Keepers add stability to the mouthpiece — highly recommended for ponies ridden by young or novice riders.
