The Equi-Steel FM Snaffle Bit—also known as the Fulmer Bit—is designed with loose rings that move independently of the cheeks, a feature developed by renowned horseman Franz Maringer. This bit is especially favoured by riders following the methods of Phillippe Karl.

Ideal for mouthing and starting young horses, the FM Bit offers the gentle "play" of a loose ring, combined with the added lateral support of full cheeks. When used with FM Keepers (sold separately), it provides even greater stability—highly recommended for young riders on ponies, though not required in competition settings.
